Breakfast in bed
It doesn’t have to be a birthday or anniversary, why not just take your partner breakfast in bed on a random Tuesday? Or before a big test to cheer them up? It should cost less than $5 to whip up some waffles/pancakes/eggs – whatever their favorite is, and for an extra special touch, pick a flower and pop it in a vase on the tray to make it look lovely.Do something to help them
This doesn’t have to be a huge gesture, but some people feel most loved when their partner thinks about something they can do to help them. For example, could you get their car cleaned? Bring the spa to your dorm room
Again, the dream would be to take your beau to a spa, but a college budget just won’t stretch that far, so this is the next best thing! Light some candles (or fairy lights if candles are not allowed in your room), get a nice body oil and give them a massage – there are tutorials on Youtube if you are new to this. If you’re lucky, they might return the favor!It might feel frustrating that you have to do things on a budget, but when it comes to love, it’s all about the effort!
